Finally! The first “fun roads” drive I have ever taken here took place yesterday. Without any local knowledge or books like my treasured !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , I basically trawled Google Maps and picked out a loop based on my experience that seemed promising.
For the first trip, I decided upon Opinicon and Jones Falls Roads, mostly in the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , with the main stop at !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! (#37 in the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! system).
To start with, it is always a “good sign” when you see this sign right at the beginning :
I spotted this “tunnel” of fall colours, and had to pull in for a few pictures:

Finally, after I got back, I saw this scene of contrast in our parking lot of what !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! stood for at various times: a front-wheel-drive 4AT Pontiac vs. a Cadillac with an S/Ced SBC and Tremec.

I love a good fall drive. I’m hoping for some nice fall weather here soon so I can get the ‘ vette out. I finally got it put back together just before our road trip so I’m itching to get her out.

That run up 10 to Perth is one of my favorites. If you haven’t done it yet, head down to Bath and take the Glenora ferry, then drive around the long way to Sandbanks Provincial Park. It’s a drive so good they even memorialized it in a Honeymoon Suite video:
